#4 OPEN SEW @ KARIN’S ALL DAY SEWING Bring to class the project of your choice to work on. Learn a new technique, finish one of those UFO’s, get assistance to fit a pattern and meet new people. #5 OPEN SEW In this class, you will work on the project of your choice with the assistance of a skilled instructor. Finish those many UFO’s or start a new project with techniques that are unfamiliar to you. This is a great time to learn new techniques and share with other sewing enthusiasts. #16 SERGER WORKSHOP Take your serger out of the closet, dust it off and come to class to learn how to use it for more than just finishing seams. You will construct a sample book of the many stitches you can accomplish on your serger, such as rolled hem, flatlock, ladder and more. Bring to class: serger with all accessories and manual, threaded with 4 different colored threads, and basic sewing supplies. Jan. 16th. (Sat.) 9:30 AM-3:00 PM Instructor: Karin $50
#17 VICTORIAN PATCHWORK HANDBAG @ Karin’s While creating your own Victorian patchwork bag you will learn many new techniques, such as foundation piecing, hand and machine embroidery, silk ribbon embroidery and beading. This handbag features beautiful embroidered embellishments, interior pockets and metal hinged closure. A supply list will be provided upon registration. #22 EMBROIDERED SWEATSHIRT Add some jazz to your favorite sweatshirt with embroidery. Learn what stabilizers work best on thick, napped fabrics, and when do you need an extra stabilizer on top. We will explore a variety of designs and ways to change a plain shirt into a great new garment. . A supply list will be provided upon registration. Purchase of design required. Jan. 22nd.
